StumbleUpon is on the verge of being acquired by eBay, but still they are working as hard as they could to release toolbar updates. The most recent toolbar update (v 3.05) released on Friday includes a new feature called StumbleThru which allows users to stick to a specific website and stumble pages within that site to find interesting content. Sites like YouTube, Myspace, Flickr, Wikipedia, Wordpress, Onion and CNN are few of the sites which currently work (along with all domains ending with .edu and .gov).
Nice way to discover new and interesting YouTube videos, but like Michael Arrington said, it would have been great if they provided a widget which adds the same functionality to all websites. I bet, it would have been an instantaneous success, as it will increase pageviews by restricting stumblers to your site. Not to fret, as Michael Arrington was kind enough to get intouch with Matt Mullenweg and convince him to code Wordpress plugin which does the same. Matt’s random page redirect is available here.
StumbleUpon should seriously consider releasing a widget, so that bloggers using other platform could add the functionality on their blog. Maybe they could release an API and get it coded by third party developers.

I was just turned on to this site a week ago and I love it. I think I’ve added about 10 new favorites in one week because of it. I can’t wait to waste more time now…haha.

Nice post Thilak. I will install Matt’s new plugin during this week and see.
@Vasu - depends in the amount of content you will be hosting. I am hosting with BlueHost and their standard package for 7$ a month for 6 web sites, seems ok so far.
