I’m a great fan of Thunderbird. Besides reading mails, it can also read RSS, but the process it too confusion. I was expecting a full fledge calendar and tabbed message navigation in Thunderbird 2. Just in case you’ve missed Ryan’s great Thunderbird 2 Review, check it out.

Indeed Thunderbird is one of the best email clients at this point of time. However, as you said that you wanted a calendar…well, i believe that they’ve got sunbird (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/sunbird/) for that and you can always look at seamonkey (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/seamonkey/) as well.

ReviewSaurus: I use Lightning Extension which powers a calendar within my Thunderbird.
