Tony Blair Launches YouTube Channel

In an attempt to bypass the media and communicate directly with the votes, the British Prime Minister, Tony Blair has launched his own ‘The Labour Party’ channel on YouTube. At the time of writing this post, the welcome video by Mr. Blair has been viewed 12000 times with 125 comments. Check out the welcome video.

Blair says that the aim of the YouTube channel is the deliver the “unmediated” information directly to the voters. Previously we saw Indian President APJ Abdul Kalam participate in Yahoo Answers. The idea is quite appreciable. Today’s generation prefers YouTube over TV. Best of all, the party doesn’t have to pay for the political propaganda done on the channel. Go to the channel on YouTube

I would love to see our Indian politicians open channels like these. I can assure you that they will be a big hit even abroad, well obviously in the comedy category.
