Google Personalized Homepage Gets Themes

Google Personalized Homepage just got a bit fancier with 5 new themes, along with the default Classic theme. These 5 new themes completely renovates your Personalized Homepage by changing the graphics surround the search box and other CSS elements. Once you choose a theme, you’ll have to fill your location, so that the themes dynamically updates according to your time of the day and weather. Previously, users had to install Stylish Firefox Addon to change the visual appeal of Personalized Homepage.

This refreshing change comes as a real boon to those who spend hours on their Personalized Homepage. I think Google can take it even future by allowing users customize or built their own themes by modifying CSS codes. Something like this for Gmail would be greatly appreciated. Until then, we have to stick with Gmail Skins Addon

If you don’t have a Personalized Homepage, you can get it from www.google.com/ig.

One of the ultimate advantage of google is its ultra clear interface. now, in the name of themes, we are gonna destroy it.

The interface is still enough clear with this themes. I like it, expecially the clear-green one.

This would really sound a nice proposition to me, except that I perform most of my searches from FF and not from the google homepage :(
