Ashish: I know a plugin which checks for inbound links from Digg and then places the button, but once it misses the frontpage, there is no much use placing that button.

Digg might need to think about developing a navbar or toolbar; with a digg button and navigation around for other articles..

Sounds like a good script but how globally it will be taken up will matter.There is plugin already available but its annoying since you dont submit all of your articles.

One thing you can do is put link like “Digg This” somewhere in the post, so users even if they have forgotten digging there will digg.

Hey there. Thanks for the link! I agree completely that Digg should just implement some such bar of their own, but thankfully greasemonkey allowed me to make one in the mean time. If you like the script and/or the idea then make sure you Digg it!

For the simple reason that diggers might end up never returning back to the digg page to view other articles..They might simply move ahead with the links on the landing page.

I also had this idea a couple days ago. It may or may not be useful. But, say a relatively large site like yours has many articles is in question. You can implement a “digg worthy” vote button to each post instead of the digg button. If the article gets enough votes, then the article will be submitted to digg. I only thought of this b/c I know Techbuzz was banned from digg a while ago for submitting almost every article from the site (Although they were all good articles). Maybe this will prevent it from happening again.
