Yesterday, I came across a new ad network called Auction Ads. As you can probably guess by the name, Auction Ads displays live eBay auction based on the keywords that you fill while generating the ad code. Payout is made based on Cost Per Action, which means you’ll get paid, if someone buys the product shown in the ad. Auction Ad was built together by Shoemoney and MediaWhiz (the company which recently bought Text Link Ads (aff) and ReviewME (aff)).
How does it work?
Auction Ads is completely based off the eBay Affiliate Model, the network can be considered as one large bunch of eBay affiliate. As you might be knowing, eBay affiliate program’s payout depends upon the sales factor, more sales = more revenue, so if Auction Ads can collectively put all publishers together, they could earn better, which means we could earn better.
Will it work for you?
Now, that depends. I personally didn’t have any previous success with Cost Per Action Advertising Network, but that doesn’t mean that Auction Ads sucks! Since Auction Ads is based off eBay auction, it might work well for product related sites. John Chow wrote a brilliant paid review, which suggests that their current goal is to increase their publisher base. No requirement cap has been set, anybody with a website or a blog can get into the network without any delays.
How much revenue share will Auction Ad eat?
Surprisingly, Auction Ads currently pays 100% of the revenues earned by the publishers, without keeping any profit, but in the near future, as Auction Ads moves higher in the eBay payroll, they might take a share out of your revenues.
Auction Ads Referral Program
I believe that the success of an ad network depends on their strong referral program. Take Text Link Ads as an example, they pay 25$ per referral and that is why they are so successful today. Auction Ads has a similar referral payout program, you don’t need to sign up for their referral (heck! they call it Affiliate Program) separately. If your visitor signs up by clicking on “Ads by AuctionAds†that is displayed below each ads, you get 2% out of his revenues for the next 6 months.
Auction Ads + AdSense on the same page?
Yes, you can display both AdSense and Auction Ads on the same page. If you take a closer look at AdSense TOS, they mention that you can’t place any other contextual ads which resemble Google Ads. And Auction Ads isn’t contextual!

regarding the ads, you need to ensure the look doesnt match in any way, irrespective of whether it is contextual or not.
Btw, check out my post on making auction ads contextual.

I am not sure if this helps. I reviewed and shared a few AuctionAds tips on my blog.

Auction Ads sucks. Images are always down and good luck dealing with their tech support. The worst in the business.
