Job Favors – A mix between Freelancing and Social Networking

Job Favors is a new concept of connecting Favor Seekers with Favor Doers, in exchange for cash. The idea is somewhat a mix of Freelancing and Social Networking. You can search for people who live near your city/town who are willing to do your job.

Favor Seekers can post their free ads and can either choose a fixed price on how much they are willing to pay or they can open a bidding process for the job. Favor doers in return, don’t need to pay anything to win a project. In other words, Job Favor is free for its member (both Seekers and Doers). I got a mail from Eric Iravani, the founder of Job Favor, briefing me about their new service. He says:

“Our goal is to connect people who are in need of favors with people who are in need of cash. It’s a mix between an odd jobs board with a touch of social networking for the good of local communities hopefully a recipe for success).”

In my opinion, Job Favor is killer idea. Job Favor is just a new born baby; they need a good community of Favor Doers and Favor Seekers to survive. Will you post your ad on Job Favors, if you need something to be done in the near future?

  • this is the new owner of jobfavors, and let me say that we are working on improving the site, starting with bringing a wave of favor seekers to help attract the big crowd, please stop by and post ads if anything is needed.
  • Thats a cute looking thing...So now its the age of mix..I guess thats the game mixing two different perspective and utilizing the power of 2

The site looks cute and after tinkering around, I think it will definitely cater towards a certain group of people. In response to Brian’s remarks, you obviously did not spend more than a minute looking at the site because there is a “favor doer” section. If your going to be a critique, you should at least spend sometime to become somewhat familiar with what you are critiquing.

Oh, everyone should check out http://www.bla.st
  • It looks like a pretty interesting idea. The problem is there are like 3 ads taken out and there aren't many cities at all. Also, they need to be able to have a section if you are a favor doer you can take an add out in a separate section. I don't think this site will take off at all.
  • I agree in what Everton said. It needs to be less US centric (like Craiglist), and allow people from all over the world to be successful.
