When we last covered MSN SoapBox, it was in invitation only state, but now they have made a transition into public beta. Everybody can watch videos without any need to signup or invite.
For those who are not familiar with MSN SoapBox, it’s Microsoft’s entry into the video sharing and hosting market. Microsoft has a long way to go before they can give a fight back to Google owned YouTube or any other video hosting site for that matter. As of now, SoapBox lacks good content. Hopefully more and more Microsoft addicts will turn towards the service and generate some video content for Microsoft.
SoapBox has a really sleek embedded video player, but it’s disappointing to see “The video cannot be played. Please try again later†message on the video posted on Microsoft’s official announcement post. Yikes!
