Google Apps Won’t Stay Free For Long

Google Apps for domains which provided essential services like email addresses, calendar, IM and web page builder has been incredibly popular among small business, organization. According to Business Week, Google will soon add Google Docs and Spreadsheet into the list of service provided by them, but soon Google might start charging organization a small subscription fee. However, all those who have subscribed to Google Apps during its initial beta phase will continue to get it for free, even after the beta period.

The word “Organization” is a bit confusing. As per Amit, It does not refer to individual who use Google Apps to manage their personal domains. Competitors include Microsoft which offers a similar package called Office Live. It’s estimated that nearly 250,000 small businesses, the prices start from free to $39.95 a month for a single business. Google is certainly going to make some money and snatch considerable market share from Microsoft.
