Sneak Peak: Upcoming Version of Windows Live Writer

A screenshot of the upcoming version of Windows Live Writer has been made available on the German Live Writer community. The original screenshot has been removed from the community; however, a copy of that image has been put up at Flickr:

The new UI certainly has a “Windows Live” look and feel. From the discussion going on at the Live Writer Group, it looks like the new version is just few months away.

Windows Live Writer has always been my favorite, but it was not XHTML complaint. I’m happy to see more and more people adding voice to the XHTML support request. Let’s just hope that they bring native XHTML compliance into Live Writer.

I was just reading through their forum and it doesn’t appear that they are overly anxious to get the XHTML support incorporated.

I notice how live writer marked every single german word as a spelling error.

They really should use a localised version for screenshots.
