Wayfaring lets you create your own map and annotate it with waypoints, route markers and notes. Other things you could do with Wayfaring is explore maps created by others or collaborate with others to build new maps. As an example, I created a map to illustrate my recent Holiday Tour(RSS readers click here):
Clicking on the above map will take you to a wayfaring page which shows details about each waypoint. The entire process of creating a map was real simple, first thing that I had to do was drag the google map to my location. Next, I had to name my map (which can be always changed later). Now, I added some waypoints on the map and tagged it. I connected each waypoint with routes to see my tour’s mileage. Lastly, I can change the map settings to make it public/private map or allow anyone to edit or add themselves to the map.
Once you’re done, you can embed the map on your website. Alternatively, you can share the map via email with your friends and family.
