ChipIn is a Honolulu based company which helps simplifies the process of collecting money from groups of people. ChipIn aims at making fundraising quick, easy, and secure.

You can start your fundraising event by visiting ChipIn.com and answering four simple questions like what’s the purpose of ChipIn?, How much money do you need to collect?, When do you need the money?, How would like to collect your money. And your event is ready to roll.

To make it easier to promote your fundraising event, they’ll give you a flash based widget which will easily fit into social networks like MySpace, Xanga, TagWorld or on any other webpage. This widget displays details such as your monetary goal, how much money has been raised, and when your ChipIn ends.

In the mean time, you can track funds and their contributors from your ChipIn Dashboard. Once your goal is reached, you can claim your funds either through PayPal, Check or they’ll deposit it to your band via ACH.

ChipIn doesn’t charge their commission or anything for fundraiser under $10,000. I’m having a wacky idea of starting a fundraiser for charity, Lets see if it works out.
