Wordpress 2.0.6 Released

Folks from Wordpress have released Wordpress 2.0.6. This new version of Wordpress includes several security patches and all users are heavily recommended to upgrade.

What’s new in Wordpress 2.0.6

  • The aforementioned security fixes.
  • HTML quicktags now work in Safari browsers.
  • Comments are filtered to prevent them from messing up your blog layout.
  • Compatibility with PHP/FastCGI setups.

Wordpress 2.0.6 is apparently the last major release before Wordpress 2.1 comes out. I just upgraded this blog to Wordpress 2.0.6, the upgrade process is damn simple, refer Codex for details.

  • Awesome!

Is that function.php fixed in this version? [must be] !
  • Rishi: Yes, it has been fixed !
  • Thanks Thilak.

Upgrade of Splat goes to my to-do list - on the top.
  • Seems like TechBuzz was down due to the upgrade - I could see some errors in relation to Cache Plugin. Did you forget to switch it off, Thilak?
  • They released it pretty fast, I mean the bug was found 3 days back among many bloggers and update is here now.

I am done with the update.
