Adbrite Makes Its Way Into Video Ads

Shoemoney broke out a news that Adbrite is testing its new video advertising service called InVideo. The idea is to attract video bloggers and help them gain some revenues out of their videos. Usually Video Bloggers use YouTube, Google Video or any other video hosting site to host their video and then embed it on their blogs, InVideo will not host your videos, but it will give you the flash video player, which shows ads in it.

You’ll get paid even if someone embeds the video into their blog. When viewers from that site click on “share” button, they will be taken to your page. That’s not all, viewers will also see a watermark of your logo on the lower right edge of the video. This new venture from Adbrite really looks interesting.

Features:

  • Fully customizable video player, easy-to-use, and 100% free
  • Brand your videos with your own custom logo “watermark”
  • “Split-screen” ads engage users without interrupting viewing experience
  • Sharing features promote your site when your videos get “viral”
  • Earn money from your videos, even when they’re embedded into other peoples’ Web sites

InVideo is in its beta, so only limited number of publishers are allowed to participate. Check out the sample video (RSS readers click here):

Video Bloggers find it extremely hard to monetize their blog because they lack content and we all know that Content is the King when it comes to traffic, even contextual ads rely on content for delivering relevant ads (Irrelevant Ads = Lower Clicks = Lower Revenue). Good to see Adbrite deliver a solution to this problem.
