PayPerPost Gets Performancing

TechCrunch leaked out that PayPerPost, a paid blogging system which created a fire in the blogosphere will be shortly announcing its acquisition of Performancing, a blog tools and bloggers community.

The acquisition will give PayPerPost an opportunity to access 28,000 Performancing users profile, many of them are bloggers. Surprisingly, they are not acquiring the insanely popular Performancing Firefox Extension, its quite natural that the extension would later be rebranded into a new name.

This acquisition will serve as a backup if something goes wrong with PayPerPost’s paid blogging service, they still have a solid Performancing Partners Ad Network left. There won’t be any doubt that they will try to exploit it to convert Performancing Members into PayPerPost customers.

On the other hand, Amit Agarwal speculates that PayPerPost is also looking forward to acquire Text Link Ads (an Ad Network which sells and buys links). This is a bit weird, because Text Link Ads  has its own paid blogging service called ReviewMe which is similar to PayPerPost.
