Blog Tagging is relatively a new game going around the blogosphere. The rules are simple, just share five things about yourself (or your blog) and then tag 5 of your favorite bloggers and encourage them to play.
I was inspired to play blog tagging by Quick Online Tips. So far, I’ve been Tagged by TechZ, Hans, Chris Cree, Sujan, Lovedeep, Santosh, Ashish, Ibrahim Ali Faour and ofcource Quick Online Tips. Thanks!
5 Things you never knew about my blog:
1. This blog started off as my storage (or what your call as bookmarking) for all cool sites I found across the web.
2. The pagerank on this blog jumped directly from 0 to 6, I would like to thank all those who linked to me.
3. This blog made me quit my studies and take up full time blogging (This was done against my parents wise & will, I have no regrets for what I’ve done)
4. Majority of my visitors come from Google and StumbleUpon. They come searching for “Bebo” and “Vista Transformation Pack”
5. This blog recorded an all time high traffic on October 18th. (37,079 Unique Visitors, Current average is 6,845 per day)
And now the sweetest part of blog tagging, I love to read:
QuickOnlineTips
Digital Inspirations
TechTites
Mashable
Liz Strauss
Blog Tagging is fun. If you love someone, go ahead tag them. You can track the game on Blog Tag Tree. If you have tagged me and I have not mentioned your name on the post, please let me know.

I knew this would come to me finally and somehow I thought about it coming through you.
And dude I’m pissed off to hear that you quit your studies. I honestly thought you to be smarter than this.
A graduation is of utmost importance. Please consider this seriously. Now is the time, don’t waste it on the internet, even if it is making you money right now.

Ajay: Yeah, I considering completing something next year. But If I have to continue my studies, I’ll have to give up blogging.
Sujan: Thanks for tagging me, I have updated the post.

@Thilak - i agree with Ajay, graduation is must.
Actually your case is very similar to me, last year i was so much glued to blogging and internet that i lost all interest in studies.
But i thought of giving myself a last chance, i went away from home (and my PC) and joined a coaching center in Chandigarh.
For one full year i stayed in Chandigarh where most of my time passed in Reliance Web worlds.
But i never quit studies, i came back to jalandhar and joined BCA.
Its a direct application line and with so much interest in computers, i am doing well in studies also.
So think once again, there are many other options available.

do i need to be tagged by someone to play the blog tag game..or anyone can participate ??

Tagging through blogs have been around for ages. I got tagged when I was on blogspot and imagine my confusion when I had to deal with technorati tags and ultimate tag warrior. But I remember being tagged with **** like “8 characteristics of your dream girl” and the likes.
I think that your pagerank jumped because people used your themes and it makes that a linkback. A quick check on technorati reveals that.

Hey Thilak,
Blogging and Studying can go together. I work in the day and blog during nights.
The thing here is to control your blogging. ie. Limited but Quality posts.
You can always write your topics in advance, especially during weekends and post it one by one over the next week.
This will give you the time to focus on your studies too.
There are many bloggers who have quit their jobs just to blog.
Quitting a job for blogging and quitting studies for blogging are very different things.

Lovedeep: Nope, The game is open… You can play too
Anirudh: Yeah, maybe. But I don’t think search engine spiders would crawl upto the end of the page. Most crawlers only make it to the 1/2 or 3/4th portion of the page. So I think, it doesn’t effect much. Even Technorati doesn’t consider these linkbacks. So it worthless (I feel)
Lovedeep, Vijesh: Actually I have applied for Science, If I had applied for Commerce, I would have happily passed out and join courses like BCA or BBM…. Work load is heavy, times is precious.
Actually, I could write post in advance, just like Vijesh said, but I something need to be written ASAP (before it appears on other blogs).
Anyway, Thanks for your encouragement, I’ll continue my studies next year.

this >> “This blog made me quit my studies and take up full time blogging (This was done against my parents wise & will, I have no regrets for what I’ve done) ”
doesnt make u sound any cooler. its not fashionable to show up that you are “totally” into something at the cost of something else. that doesnt make us think that u are dedicated.
and ajay is right. consider ur studies seriously, no blog no ad company cheque can get you things that a degree can fetch.
and the way you’ve written makes everyone think that you actually dropped out of college . u know there is difference from actually dropping out of the college and losing interest in academics. for right now i know that u are still in college and that you are having your mid term exams.
so get clear here in this matter.
as for the things that you are accomplished with the blog,
yes that is appreciable.

Okay, I didn’t notice your comment about your studies, and I did a little more checking up via orkut and stuff. Please don’t take offense, but you really should get your priorities right. I did my +2 in science myself and wrote the fuking iitjee(back when it was in it’s glory) and I know how much time you get. If you manage it right you can do everything. Trust me, what you do now determines a large area of your life. Of course, this may not be the only way, but you really don’t want to end up regretting making this move. You have a lot of time ahead of you to blog full time and the fact that you’ve done so much so early is remarkable. I’m struggling to get my pagerank to one, and you can always write some nice quality posts at night instead of linking the latest links. If I were you, I’d get mugging asap. I really have no authority to give advice, I suck at acads and need some alternative career, but remember that you are playing with your future, and that’s more important than a lot of things. Do science, get a compscience course somewhere and the world is yours.

Ashish: Haha.. Everybody starts off the sameway, so did I. Once your blog start generating good revenue, you won’t mind quiting your regular job. Blogging is a sort of addiction, Good to know that my addiction pays off.

Lol u read my mind.I am busy more at home with my blogging than my work.I am honest there.Blogging is an addiction and i had been an addict to internet like from 3 yrs.First started with chatting and then reading and now blogging and analysis.
Who knows it will take me where but thats for sure that i am not gonna quit it.And i hope it generates some revenue. My parents look at me sometimes like “does he even get something from there that he sits like 24 by 7 on holidays there”
Haha
