Search Patents With Google Patent Search

Yesterday, Google unveiled their new Patent Search Project which currently allows users to search more than 7 million patents either by patent number, filling date or just a lucky query. You can view both text and original images of the patent which come from United States Patent and Trademark Office. They themselves have a similar service, but its not so cool.

Google Patent Search utilizes a similar interface that we see while reading books on their Book Search Product. It isn’t something which we might use daily, but its quite fun to digg through the history. Some patents date back to 1790s
