Google announced today that they have tied up with GoDaddy and eNom to offer domain registrations for Google Apps for Domain. This makes it very convenient for users who want to buy domain names without any hassles. Buying a domain name from GoDaddy or any other host will includes a tedious process of ticking yes, no boxes. One wrong move and you could end up throwing some extra cash at them.
Google offers domain names at $10 and it includes a private registration, which means your contact information will be kept hidden from the public whois database. Along with it, you’ll get 200 mailboxes of 2GB each, Google Talk, Calendar and Page Creator. You can pay either through Google Checkout or your Credit Card.
I get all my domain names from Namecheap for 8.88$ each (you can get $0.90 rebate using “YAFFASPECIAL” discount coupon), it include free private registration too.

What ever I see in Amit’s Digital Inspiration Blog (http://labnol.blogspot.com) is also seen in your blog. Are you people tied up together like Google does very often…

Rishi: I think, Its Google’s policy to keep everything free and simple. On the other hand they are making tons and tons of money from Adwords
Atul: Yeah, I won’t mind sending $10 on domain. But the domain is registered by GoDaddy or eNom and not by Google. They are just providing everything with a Google Brand name.
Curious Man: Go to Technorati or some other blog search engine and try to search for “Google GoDaddy”. This is giant story and Amit isn’t the only guy talking. Infact, even Amit got the news from Google Blog. I think, unless we don’t copy things, Its OK.
