Digg Turns Two
Today is Digg’s 2nd Birthday. Digg was born on December 5th 2004. The initial prototype of Digg was created by Owen Byrne who was hired by Kevin Rose through Elance. Qwen later became a fulltime Digg employee. Currently Digg is run by a bunch of 16 employees and scores 78 on Alexa’s Traffic Rank.
The domain name Digg.com is not registered under Kevin’s name, but it the domain name was registered under Jerimiah’s name because Rose did not want others to know that he was associated with Digg (lol).
