From the past couple of weeks, I’ve been closely monitoring my statistic. I have revealed that Stumblers are quite active during weekends. During weekdays I get around 150 - 300 hits from StumbleUpon’s referral, but it kicks upto 3500 - 4000 hits during weekends. Why makes them so active ?
My Theory: Most surfers use School, Office computers and obviously they won’t have StumbleUpon installed. At weekends, all school, office goers sit at home, they feel bored, so they use StumbleUpon to discover something new. StumbleUpon has always been my favorite timepass. When I have nothing to do, I keep stumbling randomly. I think everybody uses it the sameway. Don’t you ?
You can encourage all your readers to install StumbleUpon Extension (works with both IE and Firefox) or you can place a StumbleUpon badge below every post. Unlike Diggers, Stumblers read your blog, if the content is good and they keep coming back.
Note: If you haven’t used StumbleUpon, go get it now

But I do not find SU visitor very useful. They never return to site again.

I’ve noticed RSS subscriptions increase with an increase in SU referrals. Maybe they are more prone to grab your feed than worry about returning to the site?

Ashok: greg explains it all… even I’ve seen a hike in my RSS readers.

I think they are a temporary hike in RSS feeds. Also, SU traffic equals low CTR. That being said, SU is fun.

May be I do not have much experience of SU traffic, now I reduced the frequency of adding my page in SU, however I occasionally add others pages in SU
