I realize these are old comments above but this blog post is in the top spot for a Google search for ‘impression based ad networks’. That’s what led me here.

I read somewhere that Google acquired Double Click I think it was in November of 2007 to use with it’s adsense codes. Is that true? I just answered that myself. Yep, do a search for ‘Google acquires Double Click’.

What I don’t get is that SpywareBlaster has had DoubleClick on it’s spyware blocked list for years. And it’s still on there blocked list.

If Google plans on using DoubleClick with it’s adsense codes (if it isn’t already) then what does this imply? Just curious but will viewers and publishers that are not running SpywareBlaster be infected? Will adsense publishers get credit for impressions when people that are running SpywareBlaster view their web pages?

I’ve been wondering about this cause I use SpywareBlaster. I figured this was as good a place as any to ask.

there’s nothing more secret than Google. Hey Thilak, have you ever heard that story? I don’t know where I saw it but somebody by some errors got access to some files having info on a future project of Google.
