Get Vista Transformation Pack 6 RC1

There’s still a long way to go before Vista comes out as a standalone product or come pre installed in new PCs, until then you can use Vista Transformation to emulate Vista’s new user interface on Windows XP. This packs offers all the goodies like Transparent borders for Windows, Icons, Bootscreens, Logon Screens along with a skin pretty similar to one seen on Vista.

From what I read on other blogs, they say that its quite hard to uninstall VTP and revert your PC back to its original state. VTP RC1 is just a test version, so handle with care :)

VTP has been out for quite a while now, I was planning to write about it here earlier, but due to my lazy schedule, I couldn’t. When it comes to user interface, KDE rocks!, but who cares for Linux?

Download Vista Transformation Pack 6 RC1

You can also try Brajeshwar’s Vista Wallpaper Pack to give it a change.

Looks nice. There’s also a theme for Vista, I don’t know whether it’s the same as the VTP but you can have a look at this goodieee if you want.

I think for the one I have, you’ll only have to delete the respective theme files and it’s all gone.

Hey I do care for gnu/linux! I use it for almost all of my day to day usage. What about you do you use gnu/linux? On you mention of KDE being a better choice as DE i agree, but I somehow like Gnome.

I’m gonna pass this up. I prefer my computer tuned for performance. Any styles just slow it down …

That looks quite nice, but they should definitely streamline the process to install/uninstall, since it would be a great opportunity to try it without risking having to keep it forever or to have to deal with a messy uninstallation.
