There’s still a long way to go before Vista comes out as a standalone product or come pre installed in new PCs, until then you can use Vista Transformation to emulate Vista’s new user interface on Windows XP. This packs offers all the goodies like Transparent borders for Windows, Icons, Bootscreens, Logon Screens along with a skin pretty similar to one seen on Vista.
From what I read on other blogs, they say that its quite hard to uninstall VTP and revert your PC back to its original state. VTP RC1 is just a test version, so handle with care 
VTP has been out for quite a while now, I was planning to write about it here earlier, but due to my lazy schedule, I couldn’t. When it comes to user interface, KDE rocks!, but who cares for Linux?
