ReviewMe – Get Paid to Write Reviews

OK Bloggers, Here’s a chance to make some quick bucks out of your blog without spending much sweat, all you need to do is write reviews!!. No, I’m not joking. A new service which goes by the name ReviewMe is offering cash for writing reviews. ReviewMe is founded by the founders of Text-Link-Ads, which recently got acquired.

Anyone with the ability to write can join it. While setting a price for your blog, they considers your Technorati Rank, Alexa Rank and number of subscribers. Your price might be anywhere between 30$ – 1000$ per review. They also take 50% of your revenue share.

PayPerPost vs ReviewMe: ReviewMe goes head on with PayPerPost, but unlike PayPerPost, they allow bloggers to disclose that its a paid advertisement or review. Advertisers can buy a post, but it need not be a positive review always, so your free to be on your own and write a unbiased story. Your review needs to be atleast 200 words in length (this shouldn’t be a problem at all) Overall, I think ReviewMe has an edge over PayPerPost.

ReviewMe is also offering a huge sum of 25,000$ for bloggers who actually try and write a review about ReviewMe itself. I don’t think I stand a chance to win cash since I took a such a long time to write this post. Anyway I won’t say no if they are give it to me ;)

My Blog’s pricing has been set to 100$, but I’ll be getting only 50$ per review, sounds cool enough for me. If I get a chance to write a paid review on this blog, I’ll always try be to honest and stay on the topic.

Note: This is a paid reviews :D

Sounds interesting. I could use some quick cash… but… I dunno about reviews, though.

The money they are paying is definitely nice, but I am not whether it is worth it on the long run, cause sponsored posts really bother readers

  • http://tech-buzz.net Thilak

Daily Blog Tips: No, It won’t bother your readers until you write honest and unbiased stories ;)

  • http://www.freakitude.com Lovedeep Wadhwa

it won’t bother your readers. Just write honest reviews and only accept reviews for products related to your blog subject.

By the way, I don’t think anyone can win the $25000. It is not a contest, but it will allow new members to review itself until $25000 is paid out to all members. I’m not so sure of it though.

Also, you are not just allow to disclose that it’s a sponsored post, but it is a must. A quite like the concept of ReviewME, but I think I will have a hard time attracting advertisers to buy my review. :(

I created an account in their site and tried to add your site, but it said it is already existed, so i came to this blog and saw that you already knew about it.

Anyway, I have added some other TOP Tech blog from india, now when they try to do that, it won’t be possible for them…

    Ha ha ha ha…

Vincent: We are facing a hard time attracting Advertisers too…

  • http://www.freakitude.com Lovedeep Wadhwa

Ya, reviewme is giving out $25000 to bloggers who write about the reviewme service itself.

You must disclose that the review is sponsored, your review must contain at least 200 words. Once accepted you will be paid for that.

They send payments in the starting of every month.

Good Idea and well great going.
Hopefully this will be a major new income source for many bloggers.

Seems I need to start posting on my blogs, get more PR and increase technorati.com ranking.
Shifting blog >> No posting(almost) >>getting busy with other stuff and excusing for not blogging.

Damn, I am missing many things. :p
But lets wait for next Google update.
Now I truly feel the price of not blogging, even though online earning through other sources are good way too ;)

[...] Back in November, when ReviewMe was launched, they were setting the price based on the combination of Technorati Rank, Alexa Ranking and RSS Readers count of your blog, but now they are somewhat liberal and they allow you to set your own pricing. This new feature will certainly add some competition among bloggers on the same topic. Personally, I won’t be changing my pricing for my Technology Blog. Lets not repeat what we did on Vizu Answers, where all publishers where forced to bring price because some publishers in the network had set their pricing for somewhere around 1 – 2$ per CPM and it was hard to attract advertisers with a higher price. So do they increase the price for your reviews if your technocrati or alexa ranking increases? Suppose if one registers with a new website to write reviews, which obviously has low ranking, so low price per review, but wha t if over the period of time ranking of that site increases, will they increase the price per review?

I would love to write reviews so I could write a review on the Bridges of Madison County the worst movie ever not to mention the sorry book the writer took the time and effort to write.
Of course there are other things I would like to write a review on such as Adam Sandler's movie Funny people.
