I just wanted to comment on a few early RC2 observations. I have it running since Saturday morning (10/7/2006) and I definitely notice some improvement in performance. (However, it and RC1 are terrible memory hogs compared to XP and definitely slower). I'm also still seeing compatibility issues with some rather common apps. For example, AVG Antivirus ran under RC1. It no longer runs under RC2. I'm still waiting to see if RC2 fixes another issue I saw on a regular basis in RC1 - a disappearing DVD drive.
