I wonder why folks at Text-Link-Ads gives more priority to Alexa Ranking rather than Google Pagerank. I’ve come across some people who even pay to inflate their Alexa Traffic Ranking. Infact it doesn’t make any sense to me because Alexa Ranking doesn’t have any sort of value, it can be easily manipulated by anyone. Alexa Ranking is based on number of visitors who have Alexa Toolbar installed in their browser, So all you have to do is download Alexa Toolbar for IE and browse your own site. Its as easy as that !!, but beware that Alexa Toolbar is some sort of spyware, so handle it with care.
I personally don’t use the above trick or don’t suggest anybody to do so, I published it just for educational information. Alexa Traffic Ranking just a mere indicator, it has nothing to do with actual traffic.

I don’t think just one user would be able to influence Alexa ranks that much.
besides, I don’t think TLA only looks at Alexa ranks, they are just one of the things to make a decision.

The benefit being that the better your Alexa ranking the more money you can make when using a company like TLA to earn revenue form your site. Some companies only look at Alexa ranking when determining how much to pay for advertising.

Selling links and blogpost may really increase with your alexa and pr. that’s why some people do this trick. in my experience alexa is one big factor to some buyers.
