Adobe, Symantec not happy over Vista

While all of us are curiously waiting for Microsoft’s next generation operating system (Vista), folks at Symantec don’t look quite happy about this because Microsoft has bundled Vista with its own security software which would surely steal bread off Symantec’s platter.

On the other hand Adobe is complaining over the new fixed layout document standard know as XPS, which is all set to devastate Adobe’s PDF file format. Earlier Microsoft came under fire from Adobe regarding their plans to integrate PDF export in Office 2007, but MS later dropped it

According to a report in Thursday’s Wall Street Journal, Adobe has told the European Commission that Microsoft should be barred from building into Vista competing software for reading and creating electronic documents
