Microsoft’s Video Hosting Service Coming Soon

Following YouTube and Google, Microsoft is also coming up with a Video Hosting Service called SoapBox. Although there isn’t much info about this product, LiveSide says that it won’t be a Live.com product, instead it will come under the banner of MSN. It will be launched at soapbox.msn.com

Early report about SoapBox say that it includes these features:

  • Upload videos in almost any format—like from your video or digital camera (maximum file size is currently 100MB)
  • Tag and categorize your videos to make it easy for other people to find them
  • Watch original videos and browse for new ones at the same time
  • Set up your own personal RSS feeds for videos you’re interested in
  • Use your Windows Live Spaces profile with Soapbox on MSN Video
  • Embed a video on your Web site or blog
  • This will surely introduce some stiff competition between these contenders and as a outcome, we might see some more features in the near future.
