Usually AdSense Ads come with “Ads by Google” text near it, but today I found a Banner Image ad on my blog’s frontpage which didn’t had it.
Screenshot: I place two banner ads one after another, the first one had “Ads by Google” text, but its missing in the second one.
Earlier I read a similar post on Quick Online Tips, he also came across a Large Rectangle Image Ad without it.
I placed the banner, early this morning. So far these ad unit are performing pretty decently.

I would imagine that there would be some kind of public writing about this on their site. Their policy states that you are not allowed to alter, hide, or modify the code which would remove the “Ads by Goooogle” from the ad. So, if they are doing this… I am sure that they made an announcement about it. Did you check their blog site, or their announcements page?

I have seen that happen on my site too. When I recently placed a 200×200 ad on the single article page of mine, it showed just an image. There were no text written on it either.
I am not sure what that means, as I did not notice it happening after that.
