Today Corel unveiled their latest photo product, SnapFire. Its is similar to Google’s Picasa and is said to be a replacement for standard digital imaging software. Currently Corel is offering free as well as paid versions of SnapFire.
SnapFire Plus will cost $39.99 USD and would include added features like enhanced editing capabilities along with some tools found in Corel Photo Paint. SnapFire Plus user will also be able add module to the main product (must be something like Firefox extension).
Corel SnapFire can be downloaded from their website
My First Impression: I tried SnapFire, but I’m not really impressed because its slower than Picasa. ACDSee still leads in this product segment. However SnapFire is still worth a try.
