TDK Ships Blu Ray Discs

While Sony is just planning to ship Blu Ray disks on October, TDK is all set to roll out their 50 GB Blu Ray disc next week.

TDK’s Single layered Blu Ray disc are capable of holding 25 GB of Data, while its dual layer version can contain double its data capacity (50 GB). TDK has been already selling 25 GB Blue Ray rewritables since early this year. All TDK’s Blue Ray discs are manufacture from Chikumagawa Techno Factory in Japan
