Windows Vista Desktop Search for XP

Few months ago Microsoft released a beta preview of Windows Desktop Search 3.0 which was built upon Windows Vista’s Indexing Technology, but it didn’t have a UI and was usable only for Outlook 2007 or Onenote 2007 Documents.

However Microsoft upgraded Windows Desktop Search 3.0 with a better UI and a Deskbar. The new version of Windows Desktop Search 3.0 can index and search almost all file types and doesn’t depend upon Windows Vista or Office 2007. But you will have to manually select folders for indexing before you can search. No WGA Validation would be require to download Windows Desktop Search
