See Two Moons on 27th August 2006

[Image] On 27th August 2006, Mars will be orbiting close to Earth (about 34.65 Million miles away from Earth), So it will appear as big as moon and would be visible to naked eye.

Don’t miss this opportunity, else you will have to wait till the year 2287 to see it again.

Yeap, I know this is completely off topic, it has got nothing to do with Tech / Computers, but still I’m posting it because I love astronomy and I am deeply into it.

Update: This story is a Hoax. Although Mars would be orbiting close to earth, it won’t be visible to naked eyes. Read More…

Thanks: Cory

According to them, and a few other sites I might add, is that tommorow, Aug. 27 2006, Mars is going to be a big as the moon to the naked eye. Being excited about this I did some research checking various astronomy news sites, etc to find: nothing. After more research I came accross this article on the Nasa website explaining that this all is a Hoax, and that although Mars will be pretty close, it will in no way be as big as the moon. In fact, it will only look like a bright star. [...]
