Here comes Windows Live Writer

Today Microsoft launched Windows Live Writer Beta. Its free available to download and will operate only on Windows PCs (Sorry no Mac varient available right now, BTW why would they bother to release a Mac version?)

Due to lack of time I didn?t personally try it out, but many sources say that its similar to other Blogware like Qumana, BlogJet or RocketPost with a built-in WYSIWYG editor for easy writing and editing of posts.

Windows Live Writer currently supports Windows Live Spaces, Blogger, LiveJournal, TypePad, Wordpress and few others. It boasts features such as easy photo insertion, tagging.. and so on.

For developers they have released a API for extending its capabilities (may be something similar to Firefox Extensions, I?m not sure). I saw a test post of Windows Live Writer over at Garry?s blog, nothing much to mention over this. So could someone share some screenshots please ?
