You might have heard of trackbacks, but hardly few of us know what does trackback really means ??. If you look up Wikipedia, it says
TrackBack is a mechanism for communication between blogs: if a blogger writes a new entry commenting on, or referring to, an entry found at another blog, and both blogging tools support the TrackBack protocol
So you cannot check your blog’s trackback unless one writes a entry linking to your post. But how to make sure that your trackbacks are working?
Red Alt has a trackback checking tool which lets you check you blog’s trackback by sending the a manual fake trackback to your blog. If the trackback is successful, you should see the test message on your post like a comment.

Yeah trackbacks were very confusing to me when I first started blogging. I just got lucky in finding out what they were when I link to one of my own posts I noticed a comment from it. Thanks for that resource Thilak.
