You don’t need to install Voice Recognition Software on Vista anymore because Redmond gaint has announced that they are shipping Vista with Windows Speech Recognition which consists of eight language. Vista would be the first Operating system to intergrate Voice Recognition in it. Vista users can dictate commands and text into applications. Microsoft also plans to intergrate Speech Recognition into Office 2007.
As per early reports from BetaNews, Windows Speech Recognistion is said to support U.S. English, U.K. English, traditional Chinese, simplified Chinese, Japanese, German, French and Spanish languages upon release. Vista users need to train it before they can start dictating commands and text into their applications.
Surely an exciting feature I would like to try. But I think the training process will be pretty tough. However MS would pack Vista with a Voice Training Guide.
