Google Sitemaps is now Google Webmaster Tools

Google Sitemaps is no longer called ?Google Sitemaps? because Google has decided to rename it as ?Google Webmaster Tools?.

I wonder what was the motive behind this change ?. Although they renamed it, they didn?t change it logo.
