How to access Internet [DSL] using Kubuntu / Ubuntu

Kubuntu Logo
Today I completely switched over to Kubuntu. I prefer Kubuntu because its lot faster and better than Windows from many perspectives. I don’t need run any spyware or antivirus scanner in background. Kubuntu is much much more than I thought. It has an alternative for every Windows App.

Anyway, My friends always keep asking me ‘How do you access Internet on Kubuntu ?’. So Today I’ll write a small tutorial on it.

Kubuntu come with built in PPPOE dialer, So all you need to do is
1. Open Terminal (Menu >> System >> Konsole (Terminal)
2. Type ’sudo pppoeconf’ and press enter.
3. You will see a blue screen. Enter your username and password there and hit Enter
4. Done !!. Now you can open Konqueror Web Browser and start Browsing
