Indian Ban on Blogs – Details

On Friday  In the wake of last week’s attacks in Mumbai and reports that the Students Islamic Movement of India (which is believed to have been involved in the attacks) uses blogs to coordinate, Ministry of Information and Technology ordered major ISPs to block 12 radical Websites. But some ISPs blocked the entire Blogspot Domain Name.

  • clickatell.com
  • blogspot.com
  • geocities.com
  • typepad.com

Blogs hosted on Wordpress.com, LiveJournal, MSN Spaces, Rediffblogs and Yahoo 360 are still accessible in India
