France gets Google-like Map Service

The French government has launched a Google Map like service called GeoPortal. This allows French Citizen to view ultra high resolution images of France.

Geoportal offers the ability to zoom as close as 20 inches from the ground (WoW !!). This Project has cost around 6 million Euros to France and it was developed by National Geographic

Currently the site is facing loading problems due to heavy Traffic
