MS Announces Windows Media Photo

Today at Windows Hardware Engineering Conference, Microsoft Announced a new image format that targets to kill JPEG.

According to MS, Windows Media Photo [WMP] will be supported by Vista and XP. WMP also boast its superior compression ratio to that of JPEG and it can offer better images at half the size
