My experience with this “tool” is miserable. I have a known Aero capable laptop with the latest Intel 945GM with 2GB RAM…not top-of-the line, but with RC2 it ran Aero like a champ in a dual external monitor 10X8 config. This useless tool insists that this box cannot run Aero, and tells me I need an upgrade. I expect there are many millions of potential upgrade cusomers who will be discouraged by such crap. I can’t imagine why such an ill-conceived scheme would be promoted by Microsoft, but then they leave me scratching my head often. Apple is looking better all the time.
