Trillian and Skype are two of my favorite tools. Trillian is a fantastic multi-network instant messaging client. I regularly use it to connect to MSN, AIM, ICQ, Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk and even IRC. Skype is a fantastic VoIP client. Now there’s a plug-in for Trillian that lets brings the two programs together.
SkyLlian integrates your Skype contacts in your Trillian contact list. You can start text or voice chats directly through Trillian, keeping all your contacts in one place.
I paid for Trillian Pro, which offers meta-contacts with all different methods of contacting someone stored under one name. Now that includes their Skype info as well.
There is a catch. SkyLlian currently requires you to be running Skype in the background. The developers hope to provide standalone SkypeNET access as soon as the SkypeNET API supports it.
If you use Trillian and Skype, and like the idea of managing your contacts in one place, give SkyLlian a try.
